A conference on comedy? We’ve got some figures for your PowerPoint

This month, global comedy professionals will descend on the London borough of Islington for the fourth annual Comedy International Conference. The event, we are told, aims to “improve opportunities for the exchange of comedy between the U.K., the rest of Europe and beyond,” largely through a series of in-depth, unfunny panel discussions, like 2010’s “Comedy and Branding—the perfect marketing opportunity or dangerous liaisons?” Here, in the spirit of comedic diplomacy, a collection of mirth-related data, to be used by C.I.C. delegates at will.
