WHAT SHE’S WEARING: Dress from Poems, an independent boutique on Via del Governo Vecchio; shoes by Nero Giardini; stockings by Intimissimi

ON THE LOCAL LOOK: "The style in Rome is very good. People here like to dress well, whether it be sporty and casual or elegant and fashionable."

WHERE TO SHOP IN ROME: "Go to Via del Governo Vecchio and the streets near Piazza Navona, as well as some of the designer stores in Rione Monti. I like that you can find original things in the tiny little niche shops."

PERSONAL AESTHETIC: "Rome is a very historical city, and I usually dress simply and elegantly, with nostalgic, feminine accessories that remind me of the past."

WON’T LEAVE HOME WITHOUT: "A big silk or cashmere scarf. These have a very antique look, can be worn with anything, and can make a sporty-casual outfit feel very sophisticated."

"The way we dress should transmit our state of mind. The Roman style is a bit eclectic, but I think people could dress a little more extravagantly."
