MARCUS SAMUELSSON
Born in Ethiopia and raised in Sweden, the chef-owner of Red Rooster Harlem and author of Yes, Chef: A Memoir boasts the offhand style and the encyclopedic culinary savvy of a jet-setter. In addition to a natty jacket and a few kitchen provisions, Samuelsson’s list would include a donation to his wife’s Three Goats Organization, which provides water, education and food for children in Ethiopia.
