The former vogue fashion guru does the grand tour of Europe

“Very rarely do I venture from the norm, which is traveling to Lake Starnberg in Bavaria, Germany, where King Ludwig II vacationed. When I’m there, I stay with a friend, and we just stay in. But when I take a vacation, I like to go to St. Petersburg in Russia. When we’re there, we see the history—the Palace Square, the cathedrals, the Hermitage. It’s just a wonderful city.
“Another place that I would love to go, which I’ve only been to once, is the Hotel La Place in Antibes, on the French Riviera. I went there for the first time this summer, and the view from the veranda is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen.”
