Who’s sitting next to you?

WHO DAVE BEERING 47 / Managing Director Advanced Networks

WHY I’M TRAVELING I’m on my way to DC to meet with a customer and a potential new customer. I lead a team that designs specialized satellite networks so we do mostly U.S. government work and I travel to DC about 40 times a year.

MUST HAVE ACCESSORY Other than my laptop and cell phone? My trumpet. Sometimes I play in public and if I have a performance coming up, I’ll travel with my trumpet. I bring a practice mute so I can play in the hotel room. It’s not terribly musical with the mute, but you’ve got to practice the lips.

MUST HAVE MEMBERSHIP The Red Carpet Club is worth its weight in gold. It’s got the most helpful agents, munchies and some tranquility in the midst of all of the chaos.
